Altai cats is a hobby cattery owned by Agnieszka Kedziora. The primary goal is to breed better examples of the Siberian breed, where the cat's health, temperament, and socialization is improved. The Siberian cats and kittens are hypoallergenic and cared for with utmost compassion. While raising Siberian Cats is a fun hobby - from raising litters to evaluating kittens, showing our best, and engaging with cat lovers worldwide: I can't keep them all! As a hobby breeder, my goal with every breeding is to produce one kitten that is closer than either parent to the ideal Siberian cat. It takes weeks, sometimes months, of observation to determine which kitten will most likely help me reach my goal. The goal is not to make a profit but to create beautiful cats that are joys to live with, remarkable to look at, and that love you back.
About Us
The Siberian cats are raised as my loved pets in my home, not locked away in a barn or basement. Therefore, their placement and treatment are of utmost importance to me. I devoted time and attention to studying everything I could about the breed and my family's cats. The ideal pairing involves studying through pedigrees and lineages. It takes effort, emotional commitment, physical labor, sleepless nights, and financial resources. That is why the Altai Cats and kittens are priceless, but taking care of them isn't. The pricing reflects the care that has gone into the growth and development of the cats and kittens, maintaining and monitoring my breeding cat's health, and recognizing the time and effort in placing kittens. We ensure that every cat that gets adopted goes to a good, "cat educated" home. You can ask us any questions and get as much advice as you want before, during, and after you adopt a cat from us. We want to give you all the help and information you need to keep you and your cat happy and healthy.
Show Quality Cats
During shows, judges help me reach my goal faster by giving me great feedback, which allows me to conform to the breeding standards. This helps me ensure that I produce cats of the right type and temperament. Because the cats match breeding standards, you, as the adopter, know that you are getting 100% Siberian cat without mixing it with other breeds (Important for Hyperallergens). We strive to breed the best show cats, but healthy, well-socialized cats will always be our top priority.
Health
I take pride in delivering my cats in the most healthy and fit condition possible. This is why my utmost priority is the health and condition of my cats so that each kitten can get the care and socialization they deserve. Their hearts are also frequently examined to ensure that the kittens stay healthy. My cats are checked for HCM at Oradell Animal Hospital (NJ) by Veterinary cardiologist Donald Schrope, DVM. Preventive care includes Real-Time PCR for Feline Upper Respiratory Disease and PCR for Feline comprehensive Fecal for the GI tract. PCR is an excellent diagnostic tool to rule out the presence of infectious agents in cats. All kittens come with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and are up to date with necessary vaccines.
Before I ever consider breeding matches, I screen my cats for any genetically and communicably transmitted conditions to guarantee we have multiple generations of healthy cats. I am familiar with my lineages and the bloodlines of other respectable breeders to ensure that there will be no surprises in temperaments and health. We also make sure that our kittens are constantly socialized so that you can enjoy their charming and caring personality. All kittens come with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and are up to date with necessary vaccines.
